Note: Typical compressor capacity quoted are for an 80% efficient piston compressor with a 100% duty cycle (running all the time). When selecting a new compressor, or appraising the suitability of an existing one, the efficiency, type, duty cycle and general operating demands of the compressor need to be considered. The best source of information in this regard is a compressor vendor or manufacturer. |
| An example of the Ultraspin oil water separation performance curve for a typical application is shown above. Click on the image to see a larger picture. The blue dotted line shows the single pass oil separation performance. The curve shows that with the conditions specified about 90% of 20 micron sized oil droplets will be removed and approximately 100% of 30 micron oil droplets will be separated. Even a good percentage of the very difficult to treat 10 micron oil droplets can be removed. Real life oily water mixtures are not made up of a single oil droplet size but a range or 'distribution' of sizes. The graph in the bottom right corner shows a typical feed distribution (red) and the distribution on the treated water outlet. |

| How powerful is the Ultraspin oil water separation process; and how clean does it make the oily water? Visit our to learn how to interpret these types of curves. These curves should prove far more credible to clients in determining discharge water quality than claims of being able to obtain "x" mg/l treated discharge. |
